Skills are the core element of the Proof-of-Talent protocol. Different credentials and achievements are mapped to specific credential groups. Each credential group has a specific amount of score weight for each skill in the protocol.
Skills catalogue
All the existing Skills in the protocol are listed below. Each include description, requirements, mapped credentials and credential groups with weights.

Skills
Proof-of-Talent Skills are fungible tokens (ERC-1155s) which represent your skill score. A person’s skill score is generated based on on-chain credentials and achievements attested to the attestation registry.
On-chain credentials have a primary weight on one’s skill score. To bootstrap the score, you can bridge off-chain achievements to the blockchain by making attestations. Attestations are stored on-chain in the Proof-of-Talent Attestation Registry.
Based on these attestations and credentials, your skill score is calculated with a specific formula, unique for each skill.
The skill-specific formula is basically a weighted sum of credentials and attestations that:
- Count towards that skill
- Belong in some of the credential groups above
- with each group having a specific score toward the skill
The skill score is stored to the specific skill collection in the Attestation Registry. Based on the value in the Attestation Registry, you can mint equally many skill tokens to your wallet. The number of Skill tokens represents your skill score and can be leveraged in any decentralized app.
Each new credential achieved and assigned to the Attestation Registry increases the person’s skill score, weighted by the credential group it belongs to.
